My Digital Studio Pool Party!

Rich Jutkins, Stampin’ Up! President and Chief Operating Officer, wrote “This summer we determined that we would redo the entire backyard, including putting in a pool. Three-and-a-half months later we are finished. Thank goodness it doesn’t take that long to learn how to use our My Digital Studio product! This morning I came in and created a page using only the free trial software that was extended to all of you, and was able to quickly share my summer nightmare. Stampin’ Up! Stamp Coloring How-to Video

Yesterday I showed you this birthday card I made with the Embellished Events stamp set. You can see that post here. I love all the color and in the video below I’ll show you how I color the stamp to get this effect. Plus I’ll show you how I use the paper-piercing tool to place the adhesive-backed pearls. Also, I’ll show you how I add glitter to the flames.

You will love the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. It’s easy to apply anywhere and adds great sparkle to any project. As you notice in the video, I like to store the glitter in a old Tupperware container, which makes application even that much easier! Follow me on facebook for more ideas.

Stampin’ Up! Embellished Events Birthday

A colorful birthday cake from Embellish Events stamp set is a great way to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Using markers to color in the cake layers adds fun color and adding pearls makes it extra special! The Embellish Events set is a versatile set that will take you through many seasons and special events.

I used the Rich Razzleberry, More Mustard, Midnight Muse and Soft Suede to color in the cake stamp then stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock. I like to use the point of my Paper-Piercing Tool to add the adhesive-backed Basic Jewel Pearls.

I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp celebrate three times along the bottom of the More Mustard cardstock. After stamping the message I embossed this piece with the Elegant Lines Folder in the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, and finally, added a couple of pearls. I highlighted the stamped sentiment by tieing Victoria Crochet Lace just above it.

Craft & Stamp Storage

Creating is fun AND messy! Admit it! We all make a mess when we get busy with our stamps and paper and ink and glitter, etc. All that stuff everywhere, but it’s manageable if we have a place to put everything away when we’re done.

Recently, while I was stamping with my sister I made a brief video of her craft closet/room. I think you’ll enjoy this short tour and maybe it will give you some ideas on how to store and organize your own craft and stamping supplies and life will be sweet!
