This card is just plain fun! These sophisticated flowers from the Secret Garden Stamp and Framelit Die bundle are ready to party in these vibrant colors on black cardstock. Bloomin’ Marvelous is from the Sale-a-bration set by the same name. Doesn’t this card look super involved and time consuming to make? It’s not! With the Versamark ink, color embossing powder and the coordinating stamp set and framelit dies, it’s a snap to make! (Come back tomorrow for the video tutorial or subscribe to the blog updates in RSS/email in the right sidebar under the facebook & youtube buttons.)
The base of the card is Whisper White cardstock with strips of Summer Smooches designer series paper adhered to the front.
Here’s the card recipe:
SAB: Bloomin’ Marvelous stamp set (SAB supplies are free with a $50 product purchase. All supplies are from Stampin’ Up! Click on the links below for product details & ordering.)
This birthday card just makes me want to sing “I Love Paris in the Springtime.” The eiffel tower from the Stampin’ Up! Collage Curios stamp set takes center stage but the swirly background from the Hearts a Flutter tag helps it along the way.
Each tag was stamped and then punched out with the Postage Stamp punch and popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I loved using the 2011-13 In Colors for a perfect spring color palette: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Whisteria Wonder with a little Pink Pirouette added in.
The buttons in the Sale-a-bration Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack inspired the colors for this Thank You card. And they are perfect with the Button Buddies Stamp Set that is precisely tailored for buttons. It’s a match made in stamping heaven! 😀 The light-weight and beautiful Tangerine Tango Ribbon comes from the same coordinating SAB ribbon and button pack.
The matching large scallop punch and the Bitty Banners framelit dies make creating this Button Buddies thank you card quick and fun. Embossing the white background keeps it clean and simple while adding a little texture.
The big framelit die-cut heart provides impact on this Bee Mine Valentine, made with the Collage Curios and Notable Alphabet stamp sets. And even though m-i-n-e is spelled out with individual letters, it’s super quick and easy to make this customized card.
After I layered the Whisper White cardstock on the Primrose Petals cardstock, I used my bone folder to gently rough up the edges.
I added a rhinestone to the bee and included a cascading row of rhinestones on the heart for a little sparkle.
So here’s the part that makes this card super easy to make and duplicate. Add your stamps to your long ‘H’ acrylic block and stamp as many as you would like! This is a great strategy for stamping any word multiple times and it’s one of the great advantages to clear-mount cling stamps.
When you add your stamps to the block you have to think backwards to line them up correctly. And be sure to stamp a sample on scrap paper to make sure you have it the way you want it.

On today’s video tutorial, I’ll demonstrate how you can make this heart-shaped valentine. I used the Heart Collections framelit dies to snip out this little wonder that opens just like a card. Super fun!
In tomorrow’s post and video tutorial, I’ll show you how to create the matching envelope that is just the perfect size for this little number.
