Jar of Hearts a Flutter Valentine Card

Hearts a Flutter Jar of Hearts card

I am so excited about this Jar of Hearts valentine card made with the outline heart from the Hearts A Flutter stamp set and, of course, the Perfectly Preserved jar stamp with the coordinating Cannery Set framelit dies.

The title of this post reminds me of the Wheel of Fortune category – is it called ‘before and after’?  Jar of Hearts and Hearts a Flutter to make Jar of Hearts a Flutter.

Here’s another valentine project video for you!  In the video I explain how I made the jar and the chalkboard background for this card.  Enjoy!  The supply list is below.

Clean and Simple Secret Garden Flower Dies Stamping

bloomin' marvelous secret garden card

More clean and simple collage stamping in this greeting card created with the Stampin’ Up! Secret Garden stamp and flowers die bundle and the FREE Bloomin’ Marvelous set available during Sale-a-bration with a $50 product purchase.

I stamped this on yummy Shimmery White cardstock.  It’s hard to photograph but if you look closely, you can see the shimmer!  And using the framelit dies made masking and layering these flowers super easy.  (You can watch the video below to see how!)

bloomin' marvelous secret garden card flag

I tried stamping the black sentiment directly over the flowers, but it didn’t show up the way I liked so I stamped it on a piece of vellum to layer over the top.  Using the vellum allowed the thought to stand out more without completely covering the flower design.  A perfect solution!

Here is the Card Recipe:

Blissful Bird Wedding Card

Ciao Baby! Blissful Bird Wedding Card make a card

I love this Stampin’ Up! Blissful Bird stamp that coordinates with the Bird Builder punch, but I hadn’t used it yet.  So I combined it here with Ciao, Baby! and the fun Sale-a-bration Petite Curly Label punch to make this wedding card.  And, by the way, I love Ciao, Baby! Not only the stamp set – I just love saying the name!  Ciao, Baby!

Ciao Blissful Bird Wedding Card close up

I used the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper as an inspiration for the colors.  I stamped the Blissful Bird stamp twice – once in Pretty in Pink and once with Regal Rose – to create the bird.   I stamped it a third time with Lucky Limeade to punch out the branch.  I wanted a softer look so I stamped the Lucky Limeade off once before stamping and punching.

Love from the Ciao, Baby! stamp set was stamped with Pretty in Pink and punched out with the Petite Label Punch available for FREE with a qualifying Sale-a-bration order.  I stamped ‘bride & groom’ on Very Vanilla cardstock with the Sweet Essentials stamp set in Island Indigo.  Again, because I wanted a softer look I stamped if off once before stamping on the card.

The heart is punched from the Silver Glimmer paper.  (Learn how to get a free pack during Sale-a-bration.)  I love the little heart in the birds beak.  Don’t you?  I ran the So Saffron pattern paper from the Tea for Two dsp pack through the Big Shot in the new SAB Vine Street Embossing Folder (also available for FREE with a qualifying SAB order).

bloomin' marvelous heart butterfly card The Silver Glimmer Paper and Island Indigo butterflies are cut with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die.  I ran the largest butterfly back through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Folder.  The Red Glimmer Paper heart is trimmed out with the heart from the Hearts a Flutter Framelit Dies set.

bloomin' marvelous heart butterfly two tag

The butterfly is adhered to a Two Tags Die cut tag.  I stamped the Bloomin’ Marvelous sentiment on the tag with Early Espresso ink.  After I ran the Pool Party Core’dination cardstock through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, I stamped the butterfly from the Cross My Heart stamp set in a few of the honeycombs and added a little rhinestone.

Cross My Heart Fun Flower Card

cross my heart fun flower card 2

If you read my posts in your email, you may have noticed this afternoon that first picture of my For the Birds Thank You card was different than most of the rest.  Well, I don’t know how it happened put I accidently selected the wrong photo when I wrote it up, but it’s been corrected now.  I didn’t want you to lose any sleep over it!  Haha.

The adorable butterflies in the card above are from the Stampin’ Up! Cross My Heart stamp set from the new Spring catalog.  That little butterfly stamp is the reason I bought that set!  I fell in love.

cross my heart fun flower

The flower is the star of the show here.  I cut two sets of flowers from the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper, Big Shot Die-cutting Machine and the Fun Flower Bigz Die.  I then spritzed them with water, crumbled, stacked and assembled with a brad in the middle to hold it all together.  After putting it all together I sprayed it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  Can you see the shine?

A little Linen Thread bow through the button and then I glued it to the top of the brad with Crystal Effects.  With all the water and the shimmer, a glue dot was just not going to cut it, but Crystal Effects is like super glue.

The button on the flower is from the Sale-A-Bration Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack, which will be available FREE with a qualifying order tomorrow!  The button is actually Tangerine Tango, and the paper and ink are actually Calypso Coral, so they are not the same color, but in person they blend and look great together.  However, in the pictures, not so much.  Darn.
