Bachelorette Andi

I’m warning you.

If you recorded the Bachelorette two nights ago and still have not watched it…

…go watch it and…DO….NOT…READ…ANY…FURTHER!

But chances are you already know the results…

…or you live in a different solar system!

This is my first season ever watching the Bachelor franchise.  I know.  Hard to believe.  And I’m sorry if you are a big Bachelor fan, but it is likely to be the last season I watch it too.  My sister was visiting when the season started and wanted me to watch the first episode with her or the second, or both.   I can’t remember.

That’s the problem with reality shows – or the good thing, if you are the producer – they suck you in.  Because they are REAL people, hence the ‘reality’ in reality show, it doesn’t take long to care about the people and want to know what happens to them.  So I watched the end of the season and …

…I loved the outcome!

Therefore, this..

for josh and andi murray

…For Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray

(To see how I made this in MDS click here and if you know how I can send this engagement gift to them send me a message.  haha)

I think they are adorable and I love their positive energy.  Best of all, it reminded me of my engagement to my husband – minus the beautiful setting, beautiful clothes and beautiful people – which is a super sweet memory.

And the way Josh ended up in a puddle of sweat when he proposed…oh my…that was just like my Ron.  You should have seen him the day we got married.  Ron said he wasn’t nervous but the puddle he was standing in when the ceremony was over said otherwise.

It’s been 20 years for us, and I hope that Andi and Josh enjoy their next 20 years as much as we have.  I would show you a picture from our wedding but I haven’t found them since the move.  oops.

Label Love Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Card

label love mr & mrs wedding card stampingjulie.com
Our oldest daughter, two of our grandchildren and my mother just pulled out of town.  Over a month ago we found out that we were moving and I got busy working on the house, plus we had over two weeks of company already coming to town, and a family wedding to attend.  (The house painting blog post I promised will post later this week!)  I was also facing important deadlines for some volunteer work that I do.  In addition, other family emergencies and events came up that could not be foreseen.

I apologize for the silence on my end here.  I was already planning for a very busy summer, but when the move suddenly came up, that just cranked up my schedule past manageable.  Normally I can plan for these things and schedule posts in advance, so I don’t leave you hanging if you check in often as I hope that you do.  But the move and other surprises just took it over the top and I found myself falling far behind!!

But no fears, I’m back now with new projects and new ideas!

The card above is the one I made for my niece Danielle’s wedding that we went to last week.  I made it specifically with Danielle in mind.   Tomorrow I’ll show you some cool wedding decorations my sister made using Stampin’ Up! products and My Digital Studio.  So, so awesome!  You won’t want to miss it.

I used the new Smoky Slate ink to stamp the Mr. & Mrs. from the new Label Love stamp set.  I then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to which I added a little dazzling diamonds glitter for a little extra special sparkle.  And of course, I punched it out quickly with the new coordinating Artisan Label punch.

hint:  I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to an extra tub of clear embossing powder and labeled it so I always have this mixture on hand.

label love mr & mrs wedding card stampingjulie.com Look closely.  Can you see the glitter shimmer?  Also, did notice the pearl accents?  The adhesive-backed basic pearls makes adding this little embellishment super easy.

The card base is the new Stampin’ Up! In Color Crisp Cantaloupe with the clear mosaic-patterned window sheet from the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper.  hint: I only applied adhesive and adhere the window sheet to the card base only where the label and ribbon would cover it.

label love mr & mrs wedding card stampingjulie.com To cover the ribbon on the inside I used a piece of gray polka dot dsp from a retired dsp paper stack.   I also used this same dsp to line the envelope.  Danielle loves polka dots and she used subtle polka dots on her wedding announcements, her wedding dress and other wedding décor.

The ribbon tie is a combination of a (retired) gray taffeta, white bakers twine and White Organza ribbon.  One end is taped down under the left side and the other end is adhered with glue dots and knotted on the right.

Blissful Bird Wedding Card

Ciao Baby! Blissful Bird Wedding Card make a card

I love this Stampin’ Up! Blissful Bird stamp that coordinates with the Bird Builder punch, but I hadn’t used it yet.  So I combined it here with Ciao, Baby! and the fun Sale-a-bration Petite Curly Label punch to make this wedding card.  And, by the way, I love Ciao, Baby! Not only the stamp set – I just love saying the name!  Ciao, Baby!

I used the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper as an inspiration for the colors.  I stamped the Blissful Bird stamp twice – once in Pretty in Pink and once with Regal Rose – to create the bird.   I stamped it a third time with Lucky Limeade to punch out the branch.  I wanted a softer look so I stamped the Lucky Limeade off once before stamping and punching.

Ciao Blissful Bird Wedding Card detail

Love from the Ciao, Baby! stamp set was stamped with Pretty in Pink and punched out with the Petite Label Punch available for FREE with a qualifying Sale-a-bration order.  I stamped ‘bride & groom’ on Very Vanilla cardstock with the Sweet Essentials stamp set in Island Indigo.  Again, because I wanted a softer look I stamped if off once before stamping on the card.

The heart is punched from the Silver Glimmer paper.  (Learn how to get a free pack during Sale-a-bration.)  I love the little heart in the birds beak.  Don’t you?  I ran the So Saffron pattern paper from the Tea for Two dsp pack through the Big Shot in the new SAB Vine Street Embossing Folder (also available for FREE with a qualifying SAB order).
