Stampin’ Up! Crazy for Cupcakes Retiring II

Just one more week to order retiring stamp sets!  Click here to get the complete list.

I have loved the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set .  I can’t decide what image I like best from this set.  The cupcake stand probably wins.  I really love decorating those little cupcakes and frankly it’s a whole lot easier to decorate a fun card with this cute stand than it is to bake all those cupcakes to decorate a true cupcake stand.  Not to mention that the card is a little easier on the figure!!!

Here’s a couple of more Crazy for Cupcakes card samples:

Here’s the detail. Can you see the glitter and shine?

These colorful balloons are stamped on pattern paper and then pieced onto the card to make this clean and simple birthday wish.

Order your Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set.

Enjoy! Julie

Answering Your Questions

Q: When I open your website I’m asked to sign up even though I already have?

A:  I don’t want you to miss out on specials and the extra projects I share in my newsletter, so there’s a sign-in box that pops up so you can add yourself to the mailing list.  Once you’ve signed up you don’t have to sign up again, just click the ‘x’ in the right corner of the pop up and have fun exploring the many projects featured here.  If you’re getting the box every time you sign in – I’m sorry. You shouldn’t be – but sometimes individual settings on a computer will trigger the box to come up every time.  Again, just click the ‘x’ in the box to close it.

Q:  I see they are reconfiguring the stamp pads, but are they eliminating the ink refills completely?

A: No.  The ink refills that you see on the retiring list are for the craft ink pads that are being discontinued.  The ink refills for the classic ink pads will continue to be available.

Q:  I noticed the paper snips, the rubber scissors and the cutter are being discontinued.  What’s taking their place?

A:  The paper snips and the rubber craft scissors were on the retiring list in error.  They are being continued!  You can order your pair any time.  The paper cutter is being discontinued and being replaced by a new paper cutter that will be a little larger with some other great features that will make cutting and scoring your projects that much easier.

Q:  The catalog ends May 31st.  How can I tell what’s still available from the retiring list?

A:  Retiring stamps will be available until May 31st.  Retiring accessories are only available while supplies last.  When you open this document it will be updated to show what accessories are no longer available.  If there’s an ‘x’ in the right hand column that item is no longer available.  For more on retiring product visit here.

Clean & Simple Zoo Inspired

You certainly don’t think of clean & simple with zoo, but look at this cute Punch Pals penquin friends card with it’s clean & simple designPenquins aren’t just for Christmas!  Aren’t they just engaging creatures?  So fun to watch as they dive through the water and then pop out onto the shore.

Technique:  Double Punching – The tags were punched with the Word Window punch.  The end of the tag was then reinserted from the top to trim off the end and create a shorter word window.  Technique:  Twine Tapping – I tapped the white baker’s twine with the brush end of the markers to add coordinating color for a little surprise.

The colors were inspired by the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and here’s a matching envelope made in seconds with the fabulous Simply Scored Tool and Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.  This paper is available until Monday, April 30 with all the other Summer Smooches preorder.
