Feeling Sentimental Bicycle Card

feeling sentimental bicycle card I love this Sale-a-bration Sentimental Journey Stamp Set .  And it’s only available during SAB.  (SAB ends March 22nd.)  This stamp set has so much detail and charm that it makes it quick and easy to create a lovely greeting card.

The Tangerine Tango ribbon in the  SAB Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button pack inspired my color choice.  And the First Edition Specialty paper is the perfect fit for the style and feel of this stamp set.  The bicycle was stamped with Versamark and Early Espresso, and clear embossed on Crumb Cake cardstock.

The Sentiment was stamped and embossed on Tangerine Tango and matted with matching Early Espresso cardstock. The Tangerine Tango ribbon, which is fabulous, is easy to work with and the perfect touch. And rhinestone adds that just a little bit something extra.

valentine pink milk with heart card

Healthy Pink Milk for Valentine’s Day

valentine pink milk with heart card Serve some pink milk to your sweeties on Valentine’s Day!  Just blend a couple of strawberries in milk.  (I used almond milk here.)  To make it sweet and keep it healthy add a dribble of agave or honey.  This is a great way to color your food pink without adding food colorings.

valentine pink milk on cereal Pour it over your cereal or enjoy it straight from the glass.  Or add blended strawberries to your favorite waffle or pancake recipe for another healthy pink breakfast!

Blue Ribbon #1 Valentine Card

blue ribbon valentine card

I was busy making congratulation cards with Stampin’ Up!’s Blue Ribbon stamp set when the idea came to me to make a valentine card with this set. Kind of a ‘you’re my #1 Valentine!’ card.  Instead of using the scallop top for the blue ribbon I used a die cut heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits Die set.

Did you get your free love note download?

blue ribbon valentine card I also added a rhinestone to the number 1 and backed it with a circle-punched Basic Gray.

blue ribbon valentine card A strip of Real Red cardstock behind the ‘xoxo’ paper pattern from the Love Impressions Designer Series Paper adds a little more dimension and separates the two coordinating patterns.  (This paper is currently on the clearance rack and is only available while supplies last.)

blue ribbon valentine card I created a matching envelope with the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.  So fun and easy!  If you want to learn how I got my pattern straight instead of diagonal on the envelope check out this post with a video tutorial on how to make an envelope.

And I clipped my hubby’s name to the top for a creative way to keep it closed with the adorable heart paper clip available in the Spring catalog.  I stamped and embossed his name in white with the Notable Alphabet stamp set.  Every crafter should have at least one alphabet stamp set on hand for personlizing projects!

Have fun as you make your cards and your treats.  And I hope you found a little inspiration today with this Number 1 Valentine Blue Ribbon card.

I Love You Because…Love Notes Template

mds love notes Love notes are a wonderful way to show our family how much we love them on Valentine’s Day.  If you are still searching for something special to do for your family consider printing up a few of these little “I Love You Because…” love notes from the template I made in My Digital Studio.

Print on white or pink paper and cut to 4-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ each.  I decorated mine with the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set, and Pretty in Pink and Primrose Petals stamp pads.

mds love notes 4_resize_wm Print enough that everyone in your family can write to each other, or print a bunch and have the kids fill them out to surprise dad.  He’ll love it!  And it’s an inexpensive way for the kids to show their love!

Put them in a pretty container or place them neatly in a Valentine Note Card.   The Stampin’ Up! Note Cards and Envelopes are just the right size.

mds love notes Or fold them up and put them in their own little mini sour cream twist container.  These mini containers are just big enough for one Hershey chocolate kiss!

valentine mini sour cream containers To make the mini sour cream twist container start with paper measuring 2-1/2″ x 4″ and follow the instructions for  the full size container.   You can view the instructions and video for the sour cream twist container here.

valentine mini sour cream containers I stamped some Hearts a Flutter hearts on Whisper White cardstock with Pretty in Pink ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder before trimming them out with the matching framelit dies.  I tied them to the containers with a bit of white Bakers Twine.

valentine mini sour cream containers I rolled these together quickly while I talked to my daughter on the phone.  If you mass produce them like I did here, do it one step at a time.  First, cut all your paper.  Then add the sticky strip to all of them.  And finally, assemble the containers.  It goes pretty quickly.
