Blue Ribbon #1 Valentine Card

I was busy making congratulation cards with Stampin’ Up!’s Blue Ribbon stamp set when the idea came to me to make a valentine card with this set. Kind of a ‘you’re my #1 Valentine!’ card.  Instead of using the scallop top for the blue ribbon I used a die cut heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits Die set.

And I clipped my hubby’s name to the top for a creative way to keep it closed with the adorable heart paper clip available in the Spring catalog.  I stamped and embossed his name in white with the Notable Alphabet stamp set.  Every crafter should have at least one alphabet stamp set on hand for personlizing projects!

I’m enjoying all the fun comments I’m getting on the blog candy post.  It sounds like so many of you have special plans to show the ones you love how much you love and appreciate them!  Valentine’s Day is not just for sweethearts; it’s also a day to show our love for children, grandchildren, friends and coworkers.

Have fun as you make your cards and your treats.  And I hope you found a little inspiration today with this Number 1 Valentine Blue Ribbon card.

Enjoy!  Julie
