I love the crossword puzzle look in the Cross My Heart stamp and was anxious to make a simple valentine card with the I love you puzzle and the adorable little elephants!
Here’s another Valentine card video tutorial! (If you can’t see the video in your email or feed, just click to the post to view.) A few years ago our dog chewed up the end of my heat tool, but the darn thing keeps working so I keep using it. I need it to stop working because I need a good excuse to buy the new heat tool, which is AWESOME.
Using the heart from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper made this project extra special and easy.
And embossing the I Love You on the Pink Pirouette cardstock gives it a crisp, clean look.
I decided to have a little fun making valentines with the Hearts A Flutter stamps and die bundle and the Stampin’ Up! note cards and envelopes. This Valentines note card is made in the collage style with In-Colors Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Pool Party with a little Basic Gray for a hip color palette.
The note cards and envelopes come in a pack of 20 which is perfect for making Valentine cards! And you can simplify the card by just stamping a heart inside of the larger heart instead of die-cutting the embossed More Amore designer series paper heart to add to the middle. Set out several cards at once and stamp each step for easy mass production.
I’ve created a video tutorial to show you how to make these cards. (If you are viewing this in email you will have to go to the post to view the video.) And be sure to readto the bottom for a special Sale-A-Bration offer exclusive to Stamping Julie customers.
This Bloomin’ Marvelous Heart Butterfly card features a couple of Sale-A-Bration goodies, including the Bloomin’ Marvelous stamp set and the ribbon from the Sycamore Street Pack. This card also features a couple of products from the new, beautiful Spring catalog, the butterfly from the Cross My Heart stamp set, the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, the Pool Party Core’dination cardstock and the heart from the Hearts a Flutter Framelit Dies set.
The Silver Glimmer Paper and Island Indigo butterflies are cut with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. I ran the largest butterfly back through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Folder. The Red Glimmer Paper heart is trimmed out with the heart from the Hearts a Flutter Framelit Dies set.
The butterfly is adhered to a Two Tags Die cut tag. I stamped the Bloomin’ Marvelous sentiment on the tag with Early Espresso ink. After I ran the Pool Party Core’dination cardstock through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, I stamped the butterfly from the Cross My Heart stamp set in a few of the honeycombs and added a little rhinestone.
The butterfly antennae were snipped out with the stem from the Bird Builder Punch. The smallest of rhinestones were added to the end of the antennae.
It has been a busy, full, worthwhile day and getting ready for another similar day tomorrow, which means I have lots of pictures of this Hearts a Flutter Peek-a-boo Valentine for you but not a lot of time to right up specifics. So I’ll give you a few highlights, a link to the stamps and framelits bundle and a request that you please leave a comment if you have any questions about this card!! And as I promised yesterday, next week I’ll have video tutorials on some of the projects that I’ve featured over the past couple of weeks.
So here’s your pictures:
I embossed the smaller hearts and the sentiment with Pool Party embossing powder. The arrow was hand trimmed after stamping. The button is a Sale-A-bration freebie! (Get Excited! 5 more days!)
Can you see I stamped (and embossed) on the More Amore Designer Series paper?
Here’s the peek-a-boo part!
