The Natural Composition specialty paper is a perfect backdrop for the bright Melon Mambo label. I hope you can see the beautiful glossy, raised note pattern on this paper. I used the decorated jar on page 137 of the Stampin’ Up! catalog as inspiration for this card. Do you need a catalog? Send me a note and I’ll get one out to you.
To create the label I inked up the midsize Apothecary Art stamp with Wild Wasabi and then went over the border with a Chocolate Chip marker before stamping on Whisper White cardstock. The stamped label was cropped out with the Big Shot Die-cutting Machine and Labels Collection Framelits. I layered the label on Melon Mambo cardstock which was also die cut with a framelit a size larger.
To make the flowers I punched out the four-petal flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and curled the petals to the center. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to glue to flowers together and to adhere the flowers to the label. To finish the flowers, I added a bitty adhesive-backed pearl to the centers.
The happy birthday sentiment was stamped on Chocolate Chip cardstock with Whisper White Craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder for a crisp look. The ends were flagged with the 1″ square punch. For tips on creating banners and flag ends, watch this short video.
