Angry Bird Die Cut Purse & Video Tutorial

Time to turn the Petite Purse into an angry bird. Don’t you think? This little angry bird inspired treat box is amazingly easy to make with the Petite Purse Bigz Die and punches.

And I made a video tutorial on making this fun little piece. You can view it here.

This little ditty would make a great birthday party favor or a cute little birthday or thank you treat.

5 New Stampin’ Up! How-To Videos!

Stampin’ Up! just released FIVE new video tutorials featuring projects from the 2012-13 catalog. Each video is only 2-3 minutes long and if you watch all five you’ll learn a lot of new techniques for your 10 minute time investment. Definitely worth watching!

1. Watch “Baby Memory Book Page Technique” which shows techniques used to create the Baby Memory book on page 62 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. You’ll love the unique use of the embossing folder!

2. Watch “Jolly Christmas Card” which shows how to make the adorable pop-up Christmas tree on page 181 of Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

3. Watch “Tea Shoppe Technique” featuring the fabulous gift box featured on page 56 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. This video will walk you through the entire creation of this gift box complete with dividers, clear lid and band in less than 4 minutes!

4. Watch “Stampin’ Emboss Technique” and learn how to create faux metal tags with any stamp! I LOVE the look of these ‘metal’ tags. This is from the 2012-13 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog pg. 105.

5. Watch “Outdoors Journal Technique” which will show in less than 2 minutes how to create faux leather and add distressing to a journal or anything else for that matter. The featured project can be found on page 68 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

Craft Project Photography and Sale Alert

To take good photos of your small items or craft projects, a light box can be invaluable. I have an old dresser that I use in my craft room for organizing my punches and accessories and on top of the dresser is this light box. This is a very inexpensive, portable light box set that included the lamps and this folding box plus a tri-pod (that I never use).

After I take my photos I drop them into photo editing software, crop the picture and do a quick photo edit to make it a little brighter and crisper.

This simple, little card was featured on my Facebook page yesterday. It’s created with the Reason To Smile Stamp Set which is only $5 and is available only in July and the colors Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose and Early Espresso, a color combination I found in the Color Coach.

My friend Cathy asked me to do a stamp class for her eleven-year-old granddaughter and five friends. This is the 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ practice card we started with and then we made a couple more projects including this cute petite purse. The girls were darling and love it!

I found a bargain at Kohls for my craft room today! Go check it out on Facebook. We’re gearing up for more information on facebook including a give away in August. So like us while you’re there, so you don’t miss anything.

This gift card ensemble features all new product from the just released Stampin’ Up! catalog. The new and lively Floral District Designer Series Paper inspired the color scheme. This month’s newsletter, coming out this week, features the instructions to make this gift card box. Sign up for the newsletter now.

This gift card measures 3″ x 3″ and the custom envelope is made with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and Diagonal Plate to fit perfectly.

Last Chance For Vintage Vogue!

This lovely Vintage Vogue Stamp Set is going away. As of midnight tonight, May 31st, MST this stamp set will no longer be available. The card above was inspired by a sample in a previous catalog and the photobook below was made with Pink Pirouette cardstock and clear envelopes decorated with versamark, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose inks.

This is one of the first stamp sets I ordered in clear mount. Now I order almost all my stamps in clear mount.
