It Might As Well Snow!

This is now my ‘if you have lemons, make lemonade’ quote. (Created in MDS.) You see I grew up and lived in Florida, The Sunshine State, most of my life. Then we moved to Texas 17 years ago. I was still at home with sun, warmth, humidity, and even palm trees and beaches. Okay, the beaches in Texas are iffy, but you get the idea. Last year we moved to Kentucky. And I have no idea why some people consider this part of the south. It’s not south enough for me, but it is beautiful and people talk like they are from the south, so we’ll give them that.

Which leads us to this quote – my quote. Because I’m still shocked when it starts snowing. I’ve never really lived anywhere permanently where it snows. So this has been my thought lately – bring on the snow – because if it’s going to be cold, it might as well be SNOWING!

I created this frameable quote in about 10 minutes in My Digital Studio, using fonts and the snowflake from the SAB Lemonade Stand dvd. Here’s the details:

Digital Tuesday: A St. Patrick’s Day Card

Lucky-Framable-St-Patricks-Day-Card 4 Remember the My Digital Studio Lucky Framable digital download that came out last year? Well, here it is as a St. Patrick’s Day card. The card background looks a little brown and gray in the picture but it’s actually a green that matches the clover. Somehow the photo picked up the colors differently.

Below I have a video tutorial on how to create a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card with a digital 8-1/2″ x 11″ framable template. And next week’s Digital Tuesday post and video will be a totally cool and inexpensive personalized wedding gift! Be sure and check back next week.

After I printed the cards I added the clover with the “happy patrick’s day” flag. Happy Patrick’s Day was stamped with the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The clover was made with the heart punch and a clipped-out stem and topped with a rhinestone. Backing the clover with a 1-1/4″ glimmer silver circle makes it sparkly and fun. And the sentiment flag was matted with a slightly larger flag of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper.

This second copy is just the printed Lucky framable card with three little rhinestones for just a little added bling.

MDS Super Hero Returns! DaniDeej

Remember this post from June? Well, it’s a super hero sequel. Returning with more impressive printables from my niece Danielle, better known as DaniDeej. She made this one above for her mom for Mother’s Day. So cute and sweet!

So Very Grateful!

So Grateful Printable Yesterday started as a great day. I got up early, enjoyed my bible study, did a little work, went to a spin class, came home and quickly showered to go to a meeting at the church, went to the church for a relatively short meeting with some sweet ladies and that was the end of the great day!

My husband was working from his home office on Wednesday. He had been on conference calls all morning. When I walked in the door at 1:00 I found him passed out on the floor of the kitchen. He had been slicing tomatoes for a sandwich. He turned to put the knife in the sink, slipped and fell with the butcher knife in his hand, hit his head, and cut himself badly and had gone into shock! Of course, I was in shock too by this time! It was a horrific experience to find him like that.

He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and I was SOOOO thrilled when I was finally able to see him and he was coherent AND he had a great report from the doctor – no significant injuries. They kept him overnight for observation, but he is fine now and I am SOOOO very happy to have him home!

Love that good man I married many years ago!

Summer Vacation Packing List – Printable

I created this vacation packing list to make packing for vacation a little more fun!! Perhaps I won’t put it off until the day before I leave, but I probably will. And that’s OK, because now I’m a little more prepared. Also, I’ll through the checked off packing list in my bag. If I have a packing list I can refer to when I’m packing up to come home and maybe I won’t leave as many things behind.
