Stampin’ Up! Fifth Avenue Floral

Let’s take another stroll down memory lane.  Here’s another favorite stamp set that is retiring – Fifth Avenue Floral.  Anytime I needed a quick, feminine card this was the go-to set.  Pick a couple of pretty colors, stamp these lovely flowers all over the background, and add a tag (and maybe even a little glitter) and instant lovely card!

Here’s a couple:

To change things up a bit, use colored cardstock with white craft ink.  I think it is such a pretty look.

If you are wondering how to create these backgrounds, I wrote up a how-to in the last newsletter on this process.  (If you missed it, sign up for the mailing list today and it will come to you automatically.)  It’s super quick and easy to do especially after you create the mask the first time.  Just save it with the set and it’s ready for the next time! fifth avenue floral stamp set

“Create A Congratulations Tag” How-to Video

Do you love an element of  a stamp but you don’t want the whole image?  That’s what happened when I created this card.  I loved the outline of the birthday wish but wanted to use it for a congratulations card.  Here’s the video that shows you how to use just what you want!!!

(You’ll need to open the post to view the video if you are reading this in a reader or on email.)

I used two of the stamps from the Perfect Punches Stamp Set  (or clear-mount) to create this layered tag.

Enjoy!  Julie

Stampin’ Up! Crazy for Cupcakes Retiring II

Just one more week to order retiring stamp sets!  Click here to get the complete list.

I have loved the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set .  I can’t decide what image I like best from this set.  The cupcake stand probably wins.  I really love decorating those little cupcakes and frankly it’s a whole lot easier to decorate a fun card with this cute stand than it is to bake all those cupcakes to decorate a true cupcake stand.  Not to mention that the card is a little easier on the figure!!!

Here’s a couple of more Crazy for Cupcakes card samples:

Here’s the detail. Can you see the glitter and shine?

These colorful balloons are stamped on pattern paper and then pieced onto the card to make this clean and simple birthday wish.
