The bright colors of the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper is perfect for punched blossom inspiration! And don’t you love the way the Stampin’ Up! patterned paper works together for perfect designing?
I chose Tangerine Tango ink for the blossom and Island Indigo for the blossom center and card base. Orange and blue are across from each other on the color wheel and are complementary colors. Therefore, the combination creates high interest. Crumb Cake cardstock is a great neutral which keeps this card from being too bright. No need for sunglasses!
In the center of the blossom is a clear bitty button with linen thread. So cute! The blossom and the center are popped up with dimensionals.
…or where’s the blooper? As much as I try to proof everything I write and post, I still find bloopers as soon as I hit the ‘Publish’ button! Does anyone else have this problem? It makes me a little crazy. So after posting my ‘Happy Easter’, I discovered that I had a couple of things off center in my design. (Now you are going back to look, aren’t you?)
I started with a designer template, added some additional elements and a ‘Happy Easter’, and presto, instant Easter wish for my friends. Then as soon as I hit ‘Publish’ I discovered my boo-boo, BUT of course, it won’t let me post the corrected copy. So frustrating! So some day, long after Easter is over, the corrected copy will be posted. I’ll let you know, because I’m sure you are as concerned as I am about it. hee-hee
So maybe someday, I’ll host a contest for finding all my bloopers! Hopefully, there won’t be too many to find.
