A Sprinkled Expression Smile!

Only 3 days left of Sale-a-bration!  Don’t miss it!

Here’s the girlie version of this sale-a-bration Sprinkled Expression card.

Exact same layout with some subtle changes that make it distinctively feminine.  I changed the colors from blues to Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink, used the scallop square punch for the center piece, scallo p polka dot ribbon and a rhinestone brad

Wonderful little dimensionals were used to pop up the scallop center piece.  Paper snips scissors snipped out smile and snipped a dimensional in half to pop up ‘smile’.

Julie’s Story:
I love, love, love crafting!  Paper crafts offer a wonderful creative outlet and almost instant gratification.  And digital designing has brought this to the next level. Imagine being able to make something so beautiful and lovely that you can share with others in a matter of minutes.  Amazing!  I love it!

I’ve been creating rubber-stamped cards and scrapbooks for more than 20 years.  It all started when my mother purchased an embossing kit at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL.   My mother, sister and I started gathering at her house almost every week to create new stationary and cards.  It has been a shared passion ever since.

Almost 15 years ago, my sister discovered Stampin’ Up!  We were so excited to find these beautiful stamps that were sold in sets and offered color-coordinated products that sent our creativity soaring!

In 2003, I started my Stampin’ Up! business.  I love what I do!  I love playing in my craft room, making new friends and teaching them how to be creative or how to start their own business.

And in addition to creating, I’m a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a tennis player, a pianist, a genealogist and a reader.  Creativity has dramatically added to my joy in every aspect of my life.  I’m so grateful for all my friends and family, and I’m thankful for the skills and hobbies I enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will stay and visit for a while and come back again soon.

Masculine Digital Birthday Card

Using cool tools like My Digital Studio and the Simply Scored scoring pad with the matching card stock makes it quick and easy to  create this extra special masculine birthday card.  I was able to print four backgrounds on one sheet of card stock, allowing for quick duplication! The background is created in My Digital Studio which was layered on Early Espresso card stock.  The colors for the card were selected from the colors in the digital version of the Well Worn designer paper.  The sentiment was stamped with Not Quite Navy and the banner was cut from Cajun Craze card stock then adherred with dimensionals in the middle.  This banner is easy to create with the Simply Scored scoring tool.  Just line your tag up to the top of the scoring pad and score on each side, then score again 1/8″ from your first score lines.  Now that you have your card stock scored fold it to create your banner.  Then punch your flag ends with the corner of your 1″ square punch. This background was inspired by a card I saw which used punched designer paper circles in a pattern similar to this.  I created the same background in My Digital Studio with digital punches and papers.

This is the card I sent to my son-in-law for his birthday. I changed it up a bit. I punched the sentiment out with the large oval punch.   And I layered the background design on Not Quite Navy card stock.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Upsy Daisy
Paper:  Cajun Craze cs, Not Quite Navy cs, Early Espresso cs, Whisper White cs, Well Worn Digital Paper
Ink:  Not Quite Navy
Extras:  Dimensionals
Tools:  Simply Scored Scoring Pad, My Digital Studio

Cool tools like the Simply Scored scoring pad and My Digital Studio make this card simple to make and extra special.

Enjoy!
