Betsy’s Blossoms Lots of Love Card

betsy's blossoms lots of love This slide card is magical.  From the front you can see the flower peeking through the circle window, but when you open it up a message appears.

betsy's blossoms lots of love detail I made this card before the end of the last catalog period.  The sentiment here is from Curvy Verses which retired last month but is still available as a digital download.  The Pocketful of Posies Designer Series Paper also retired, but again, it is available as a digital download.  betsy's blossoms flower detail  I love these funky flowers from the Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set.  The stem was created with a white gel pen.

Making 3D Paper Flowers

Remember the Kentucky Derby hat card?  On this hat was a paper flower that I created with designer series paper and a rhinestone brad.

And here’s a video tutorial on making this paper flower!!!

Supply list to make paper flower from video:
Extra-Large Oval Punch #119859
Twitterpated Designer Series Paper #125406
Crimper #101618 (retiring)
Paper-Piercing Tool #116631
Boho Blossoms Punch #119858
Mat Pack #105826
Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads #109110 (retiring)
SNAIL Adhesive #104332

This larger flower featured here was made the same way with the larger blossom punch. When using a larger punch, punch out your blossom first, and then crimp the paper.

Enjoy!  Julie

Stampin’ Up! Congratulations

This masculine congratulations card is going out to my son-in-law, who recently graduated from college.   It’s the companion to this feminine congrats card here.  The versatile pack of  Pocketful of Posies Designer Series Paper (retiring May 31st) contains both fabulously feminine patterns and magnificently masculine prints like this one.

The trick to this layered tag is layering the Perfect Punches congratulations on the Baja Breeze Extra-Large Oval created with the ‘happy birthday’ stamp from the same stamp set.

How’d I do that?  Tip: Using the brush end of the Early Espresso marker I colored just the outline of the stamp and stamped on the Baja Breeze, before punching it out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch.

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set: Perfect Punches #117022 wood-mount, #120516 clear-mount
Paper: Pocketful of Posies dsp #122354 (retiring), Baja Breeze card stock #111352, Whisper White card stock #100730, Early Expresso card stock #119686
Ink:  Early Expresso #119670
Extras:  Modern Label Punch #119849, Extra-Large Oval Punch #119859, Jumbo Brads #112533

Stampin’ Up! Baroque Motif – Retiring

Only two more weeks until the end of the current catalog and we’ll be saying goodbye to some terrific stamp sets.  For the next few days, I’ll be posting some oldies but goodies.

Recently, I showed you this card I created with the Baroque Motifs Stamp Set.  You can see the details here.

This is a card I created for a color challenge a few years ago.  You can’t tell from this picture but the heart is embossed with iridescent ice emboss powder.  It’s clear with a perfect shimmer, glitter affect.

And this last card was designed by my aunt for a card swap we did during a family reunion five years ago.  The scallop circle punch made this card super easy to make.
