So Very Grateful!

Yesterday started as a great day. I got up early, enjoyed my bible study, did a little work, went to a spin class, came home and quickly showered to go to a meeting at the church, went to the church for a relatively short meeting with some sweet ladies and that was the end of the great day!

My husband was working from his home office on Wednesday. He had been on conference calls all morning. When I walked in the door at 1:00 I found him passed out on the floor of the kitchen. He had been slicing tomatoes for a sandwich. He turned to put the knife in the sink, slipped and fell with the butcher knife in his hand, hit his head, and cut himself badly and had gone into shock! Of course, I was in shock too by this time! It was a horrific experience to find him like that.

He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and I was SOOOO thrilled when I was finally able to see him and he was coherent AND he had a great report from the doctor – no significant injuries. They kept him overnight for observation, but he is fine now and I am SOOOO very happy to have him home!

But first, the picture above is from my family reunion vacation at St. Augustine Beach in Florida. What a wonderful week we had with family hanging out at the beach and the pool and playing games. What a blessing family is!

I’ll get home later today and I’m looking forward to playing with it more, but I love the updates. I created this vacation packing list to make packing for vacation a little more fun!! Perhaps I won’t put it off until the day before I leave, but I probably will. And that’s OK, because now I’m a little more prepared. Also, I’ll through the checked off packing list in my bag. If I have a packing list I can refer to when I’m packing up to come home and maybe I won’t leave as many things behind.

Family Sunday Share

MDS Always Elegant Bridal Album Last week I shared some of the pages from my daughter’s wedding album that was created with the My Digital Studio and the Always Elegant Digital Kit. Here’s a few more pages featuring her bridal pictures.

Kristin studied fashion design in college so she designed and made her own wedding gown. (She graduated eight months later.) She wanted a vintage look and she even used covered buttons off the gown my sister made from me when I got married. My sister was a fashion design major also.

MDS Always Elegant Bridal Album 3 Kristin found this beautiful, beaded fabric that she used at the waist and she created a beaded border which you can barely see at the top of the photo. Because of school schedules Kristin and Joel were engaged and married in two months so it was a rush to get everything done. Kristin was sewing the buttons on the front of the dress on her way to her bridal photo session while her sister drove. Crazy!

My lovely daughter and her cute husband were married in Houston in August 2010 and it was HOT! Because of the heat we were limited in the amount of time that we could spend outside taking pictures, but we got just enough to remember the beauty of the day.
